Camden School for Girls has a large and active Music Department. Whether you are an experienced musician or a beginner there are a range of ensembles that you may like to join once you start at the school in September. If you play or sing, we encourage you to stay involved in the sixth form and contribute towards the school's strong musical tradition.
The symphony orchestra is part of the school's strong musical tradition. It is a full orchestra of around 70 students and is able to tackle challenging repertoire. It is open to any orchestral player from grade 5 standard and upwards.
This choir is open to all in Years 12/13. You will sing sacred and secular choral music from different eras. If you enjoy singing, come along!
This choir is open to all in Year 12/13. You will sing in a wide variety of popular music styles (musical theatre, folk, jazz, gospel, pop etc).
This group is open to any brass player from grade 5 upwards.
This is an intermediate ensemble; members are usually grade 4 standard and above. The group is open to woodwind, brass, drum kit, guitarists, pianists and electric/double bass players.
This is open to students from about grade 5 standard upwards who would like to develop their jazz skills.
These groups are open to any performers who would like to form their own bands. The groups are formed according to the abilities and interests of the students.
